DAVID SIEGEL, Producer of RAGING GEISHA
Raging
Geisha is a band
spearheaded by Miami-based producer/songwriter/musician David Siegel, whose name
has appeared as such on over 30 million records sold worldwide for artists as
diverse and popular as Christian Aguilera, Jessica Simpson, Beyonce, Brittney
Spears, Celine Dion, Pink, Clay Aiken, Enrique Iglesias, Marc Anthony, Ricky
Martin, Thalia, and the NOW Compilations 8 and 10, not to mention top 10 singles
for Jessica Simpson and Enrique Iglesias. He leads the band with singer/songwriter Erica-Sommer, a
siren from Atlanta, also based in Miami with a captivating voice and sizzling
with emotion.
Over
the years, working with every label as well as several management firms,
songwriters, and other producers, David realized a few common ideas discussed by
everyone in the industry: the lack of a strong, female-fronted band since No
Doubt, and the concept of a pop sound that could crossover to all genres: pop,
rock, and urban.
Raging
Geisha is a
powerful, thrilling live band, unique because they emphasize crafting hit
singles with expertise writing and production.
Raging Geisha
will be the first band to crossover every genre as well as flood all the venues:
radio formats, clubs, and the arenas and stadiums where the live shows take the
songs to an ever level, the kind that propels rock bands to sell out stadiums
for decades, bands like U2, Aerosmith, and The Rolling Stones.
Raging
Geisha is the first
band whose sound combines a sexy, dark attitude with the energy of rock and
roll. For example, listen to their rearrangement of “STOP (In The Name of
Love)”. This is the first and
only song to combine the classic Motown sound with hip-hop, rap, and the fury of
punk-rock, served up with the magic of pop sensibilities.
Alternatively, the remix of “STOP” emphasizes more of the rap and
southern hip-hop “booty” flavor to light up urban stations.
The
city of Miami and South Beach, home of show because of the inherent Miami
lifestyle: tropical and international, combination of luxury, street, and urban
influences reflect the mix of sounds in Raging
Geisha’s
street-rock style, as well as the multi-cultural appeal of the band’s look.
David Siegel is the only producer/writer capable of this sound/concept because of his extensive experience making radio hits for different genres of pop music in the studio, as well as years of playing live in front of thousands of people in numerous groups/rock bands in countless cities, shows that are as diverse as moshing, screamo-math-metal bands to television appearances with Miami rapper Trick Daddy and Lil’ Jon. Raging Geisha is and can be the only band that combines rap/hip-hop/rock/pop, and successfully crossover to all markets. Raging Geisha is the most exciting contemporary band with the most modern sounds emerging from the world’s sexiest city.
